Prado Stoneworks specializes in building and restoring traditional stone walls using dry stone wall building techniques. Like farmers in years past, we set a foundation and carefully select stones and expertly fit them together upwards without mortar. Our stone walls are built to withstand our area’s four-season climate year after year. And our finished walls are strong enough to be walked on top of (like farm walls of yesteryear, which were often used by farmers and their families as pedestrian walkways to cross muddy fields).
Although we are best known for creating some of Westchester and Fairfield Counties’ most beautiful dry stone walls, our masons are skilled in building other types of walls as well. We also construct fine (wet) walls (using cement as mortar) and thin veneer walls. And we can also add standalone or retaining walls to other parts of your property or as part of your patio, garden, or fire pit design.
